This was a recommended location for lunch and it could not have been better. The weather was perfect. Hot but we were in the shade. A frosty beer helped keep us cool but we did have to get extra water by the end of the meal!

On arrival we were told there was only one thai beef salad left to order so we jumped on that. The menu had a lot of descriptive photos including one for the Bo Bun Poulet – the Thai chicken salad. Possibly the proximity from Thailand meant that the dishes had to be explained and both were good. The only caveat is that something was missing. In the dish there was mint and not Thai basil so that might have been it. But it was like a muted version of an authentic version.

Every meal requires a dessert and the birthday girl chose a apple tarte tartin. They surprised us by microwaving it so it was very hot on arrival! Delicious but I think I would have been happy at room temperature since it affected the crust a bit.

The staff were all nice and got a sneak picture in the kitchen. The interesting thing is that some of the waiters are seasonal and our waiter (not shown) is a break dancer in the off-season!
